Wouldn’t it be amazing to have a magic pill which eliminated all problems, suffering, and time wasted to achieve dreams? Such a pill would be helpful, but then it would destroy the process of learning and growing all that you need to in order to achieve your dreams
However, there is one scientifically proved eating method which helps to burn fat, grow muscles, live longer and save many hours in one — intermittent fasting.
What is Intermittent Fasting?
If you haven’t yet heard about intermittent fasting, then we should go back to the basics. It’s not really classified as a diet but rather an eating habit; an eating habit that sees you eating eating your daily macros in a small time frame between two to eight hours. During that time you should eat all, and I mean all, your calories.
Intermittent fasting requires staying away from food for at least 12 hours which if combined with time spent sleeping, a few hours of no food before bed or skipping breakfast will be easy to achieve. Yet, you can spend as much as one or two days of intermittent fasting. But let’s not.
But wait, isn’t food necessary to grow and stay active?
Yes, food is needed to get your calories and nutrients to be strong and healthy, however, meal frequency, contrary to poular belief, isn’t an imprortant factor. Therefor, fasting for at least 12 hours daily is safe and beneficial.
Of course, I’m not saying that eating six or eight meals a day is wrong. It works — I’ve been there and done that. But something like eating a meal every 2-3 hours may work for some but not for others. Not everyone has time on their side, so not everyone can take a break from work or their daily lives every couple hours to eat. If you want to find a healthy balance between health & fitness and your daily obligations, you need to play around and find what works best for you.

Your Body Becomes a Fat Furnace
Intermittent fasting is a great way to burn fat while eating the same amount of food you would if you ate 5-8 meals a day. That’s right, no calorie restriction required. The key is that when you fast for at least 12 hours, your body produces more fat burning enzymes which then sends your body into lipolysis.
Another way of how intermittent fasting burns fat is due to low insulin levels. Staying away from food, sugar levels drop which encourages your body to use fat as an energy source.
Increased Muscle Growth
It’s been proved that intermittent fasting lasting longer than 24 hours increases growth hormone production by 20 times and goes further when fasting longer. This makes intermittent fasting one of the best methods to increase growth hormone production. However, there are more factors that boost growth hormone production.

- Healthy eating

And as you know, growth hormone is necessary to keep muscles regenerating after daily activities, growing bigger and keeping the whole body healthy and strong.
More Time Available During the Day
If you’re like me, then you prefer having fun with friends rather than spending half the day eating. Think about it… to eat one, two, or three times a day is a lot less time consuming than to eat 6-8 meals every day. All that time spent eating could be dedicated to something more productive.
Here’s a bro tip that’ll prove beneficial to you: eat fewer, but bigger, meals. It won’t negatively impact your goals because science has shown that eating small meals every 2-3 hours isn’t the only way to achieve your goals on a nutritional scale.
