Jason Momoa’s Aquaman Justice League Workout

Jason Momoa’s Stats

Date of Birth: 1st August 1979

Height: 6 foot 4 inches (193cm)

Weight: 230lbs (104kg)

You can’t deny that Jason Momoa is an alpha-male. He completes every man’s fantasy of slaying Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, and has sculpted a dominating physique for the new Justice League film.

But to achieve a similar body, you’re going to need a solid workout program; this is exactly what we’re giving you in this article below.

Check it out:

Aquaman Workout Routine

To become the King of Atlantis, Jason worked through a serious workout program. He was helped by celebrity personal trainer, Mark Twight.

If you’re wondering who this guy is; Mark Twight trained all 35 actors in 300 to transform them into spartans, helped turn Henry Cavill into Superman, and more recently, turned Gal Gadot into the sexy goddess that is Wonder Woman.

So, all you need to know is this – follow this workout routine, and you’re almost certain to get that 6-pack you’ve been working towards.

1. Pull Ups

To start with, Jason performed an insane amount of pull ups to get his blood pumping. Bear in mind, this is an advanced workout – to look like a comic-book superhero, you have to train like one!

Jason used a 88lb weight belt to make this harder for himself…BEAST

What to do:

  • 7 sets of 7 reps (with 7 seconds rest between sets)
  • 30 second rest
  • 6 sets of 6 reps (with 6 seconds rest between sets)
  • 30 second rest
  • 5 sets of 5 reps (with 6 seconds rest between sets)

2. Bear Crawl with Dumbbells

No-one enjoys bear crawls. But adding dumbbells to this exercise…Jason Momoa, you savage.

Using 15kg dumbbells in each hand, he bear crawled the length of his gym (around 30 meters).

What to do:

  • 30 meter bear crawl with 15kg dumbbell in each hand

3. Front Lever

This is definitely only for those hardcore motherf*ckers. There’s no way beginners will be able to jump straight into this – so build your strength up before trying this.

Jason claimed on Instagram that his record is holding the front lever for 88 seconds. Madness.

What to do:

  • Front lever for as long as possible for 7 sets

4. One Arm Lat Pulldowns

By this point, Jason would’ve been fully warmed up to lift some heavy weights – but he kept his reps high too.

5. Barbell Squat

*Disclaimer*: We couldn’t find a picture of Jason performing squats, so we added a GIF of a fitness model squatting instead…we hope you don’t mind that booty…

Jason clearly isn’t one of those guys that doesn’t train legs. Mark Twight made sure that he built a well-balanced physique, so he made Jason perform LOADS of reps with a heavy weight here.

The good news is this; the Barbell Squat is the final exercise on this list. So you can go home and cry afterwards…
